This deep cup-faced lure has been a long time in the making. The few that were made in the past out of traditional resins worked fine but broke easily, and it has only recently been feasible to make a commercially viable product with the advent of our Pro-Range material. 

The head is deeply cupped and the four jet-holes are at right-angles to the head to maximise noise and air flow. The towing point is fixed and stands proud of the the cup to ensure even and smooth actions at all speeds.

The effect of the all of the features has produced a lure that has a unique history.  Its very first fish was a 900lb class blue marlin in Ascension for Capt Olaf Grimkowski and his crew, and since its introduction in February it has hooked one of Hawaii's largest blues this season, caught a high percentage of blue marlin for many captains worldwide, including two 500lb plus fish for Capt Jason Pipe in the Canaries last month on its first day in the water, and teased up a slew of world and national records in New Zealand for Capt John Batterton and his anglers Guy and Erin Jacobsen aboard theHookin Bull. From Miami to Australia, and from Fuji to Madeira, the Krakatoa is a lure that is here to stay and we anticipate that it will become one of the truly great big-game lures of all time.
